Arborwell’s Bill Owen promoted to safety director

Company’s goal with the new position is to encourage a culture of safety.

HAYWARD, Calif. – Arborwell announced that Bill Owen will become the company’s first safety director. This position has been created in an effort to expand and strengthen the company’s safety program with enhanced safety through professional development.

The safety director will be responsible for developing, maintaining, coordinating and monitoring Arborwell’s safety, emergency preparedness and hazard communication programs. He will be responsible for coordinating and implementing safety and emergency preparedness policies and procedures such as conducting and coordinating investigations; advising and training on safety; disseminating safety information; analyzing information; and preparing reports.

Arborwell aims to become an industry leader by enhancing the company’s safety program and exceeding industry standards. Safety training ensures that not only our employees are safe, but also that our clients and their property is safe, thus creating a culture of safety. “By sharing my perspective and incorporating various training techniques, I will demonstrate that safety and efficiency also enhances employee morale, and therefore profitability,” says Owen.

Bill Owen has worked in the tree care industry for 16 years, three of which have been with Arborwell as the plant health care manager. “In the short amount of time I have worked with Arborwell I have received an incredible amount of support for professional development by upper management,” says Owen. “My goal is to convey this spirit of professional development to all field workers.”
