Ed Macias, general manager of The Groundskeeper, has been elected as the 2009 President of the Arizona Landscape Contractors Association's Board of Directors.
“It is a true honor to be elected by my peers to help lead ALCA in its efforts to enhance the public’s perception of Arizona Landscape Contractors,” Macias said.
Macias has been active on the ALCA board for the past 3 years as Director of Government Affairs. He has met with state and federal representatives advocating for the landscape industry.
He recently was named ALCA’s 2008 Contractor of the Year at the 32nd annual “Excellence in Landscaping” awards program held in November at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson.
“Macias’s positive thinking, innovative ideas and motivating personality are an asset not only to the landscape industry but to ALCA as he leads the association in the upcoming year,” said Judy Gausman, ALCA executive Director.
Macias has worked for The Groundskeeper for the past 16 years.
