RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Arvesta Corp., a provider of crop protection and life sciences products, recently announced plans to relocate its headquarters from San Francisco, Calif. to Research Triangle Park, N.C. No firm date for the move was made available.
Additionally, the company has change its name to Aryesta LifeScience North American in an effort to present a “strong and unified presence in the global marketplace,” according to a news release on the company’s Web site. Arysta LifeScience is parent company of the former Arvesta, as well as Calliope and Hokko do Brasil. Calliope recently celebrated its 25th anniversary in the crop protection industry and Hokko do Brasil has been in business for 37 years.
“Operating as a global enterprise under one name allows us to unify the organization and present a consistent image in the market,” said Chris Richards, Arysta LifeScience president and CEO. “We honor and respect the heritage of our regional businesses that will continue to offer excellent service to their local customers. These companies have been brought together over the last year under a single, coherent global strategy. Now is the time to reflect that by using one name – Arysta LifeScience.”
In regards to the relocation, Arysta LifeScience North America Chief Executive Officer Elin Miller said, “Locating the company's headquarters in the Research Triangle Park area will allow Arysta LifeScience to recruit and retain industry experts in the specialty crops, cereals and turf and ornamental commercial markets, and have these employees better represent customer needs at the company's headquarters.”
