Arysta LifeScience North America turf & ornamental products announces the addition of Todd Mason, territory sales manager, to its sales group. Based in Easton, Md., Mason assumes responsibility for turf and ornamental product sales and service in mid-Atlantic and northeastern states, reporting to Steven R. Dal Sasso, T&O business manager, Arysta LifeScience North America.
Before joining Arysta LifeScience, Todd served for five years at LESCO and subsequently John Deere Landscapes in eastern Pennsylvania and the Delmarva peninsula, in various increasingly responsible sales positions. He progressed from assistant branch manager to regional manager, and in 2005 was named Regional Manager of the Year at LESCO. Most recently, Todd was an area manager, accountable for managing sales, staffing, and new store expansion.
Prior to that, he spent ten years in golf course maintenance management and construction. Mason was instrumental in developing several courses in the Mid-Atlantic Region including Southpointe Golf Club, a 750 acre site, designed by the architect Arthur Hills, and Great Hope Golf Course in Westover, Maryland. During his time as a member of the Eastern Shore Association of Golf Course Superintendents, Todd led the landscape design, building and installation effort for The Children’s House by the Sea, a facility for children with life threatening diseases in Ocean City, Maryland.
I have served the golf course, lawn, and landscape management industry literally from the ground up throughout my career”, says Mason. “ That’s why I’m pleased to join an entrepreneurial organization with global management experience that enables me to bring my diverse background in golf course operations and customer sales and service to help Arysta LifeScience grow its line of chemicals in the turf care marketplace”, he adds.
Mason is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science and Horticulture degree, and was recognized with the President’s Award for Service to the School and to Academics.
