The trend towards being more environmentally conscious continues and Landscape Ontario’s Congress is no different with its new Green Forum feature. More than 600 exhibitors and various "green" seminars will highlight the three-day horticultural, lawn and garden trade show taking place Jan. 6 to 8, 2009, at the Toronto Congress Centre.
Each year, the show attracts more than 12,000 people to Canada's largest horticulture, landscape and lawn and garden trade show and conference.
For Congress 2009, Landscape Ontario has joined forces with Communities in Bloom, Project EverGreen and the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association to "Go Green Today!" The Green Forum, new to this year’s show, will be dedicated to the exchange of information and best practices on sustainable green initiatives.
Congress 2009 is a great place to discover new products, get ideas for design and construction, attend workshops and network with industry experts and professionals from all different sectors of the business.
In addition to the three show days, “Warm-Up Monday” is a full day of pre-conference specialist symposiums, education and social programs that include:
-Equipment Dealer Forum
-Landscape Designer Conference
-Integrated Pest Management Symposium
-Irrigation Symposium
-Certified Landscape Professional Seminar
Be sure to attend Tailgate XIII, one of the most popular events every year. The free event takes place Jan. 7 at 5 p.m. and features live music, a buffet dinner and giveaways.
