Auburn Consolidated Industries, Auburn, Neb., has signed a letter of intent with John Deere, Moline, Ill., to acquire the assets of Great Dane Power Equipment. The parties hope to conclude the closing on the sale by Aug. 31, according to Ray VanVoorhis, manager of sales for Auburn Consolidated.

Auburn Consolidated is an outdoor equipment manufacturer of mower parts as well as the manufacturer of the EverRide mower brand. Great Dane manufactures a line of commercial mowers under the same name.
