ABINGTON, Mass. - According to Seoane Landscape Design (www.seoanelandscape.com), there are a few key things contractors can remind their clients to look for during August months.
Here are the company's suggested gardening tips:
· Snip dead blossoms to encourage more blooms. Weed and water.
· Mulch after a light cultivation of soil, fertilization and deep watering.
· Prepare lawn areas for fall seeding.
· Stake tall growing plants before heavy blooms bend them over.
· Feed chrysanthemums, hardy asters, dahlias, tomatoes, lawns and strawberry beds for the last time in the summer.
