The Bartlett Tree Expert Co. has acquired Wake Forest, N.C.-based Jordan Tree Care, the company announced this week. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to the Raleigh Triangle Business Journal, Raleigh, N.C., no layoffs occurred as a result of the deal, however Jordan Tree Care has closed its Wake Forest headquarters and all 20 employees of the company will move to Bartlett’s Raleigh office. Bartlett already employed about 20 people in Raleigh before the acquisition.
“We’ve been providing tree care services in North Carolina for nearly 15 years and we’re very excited to be expanding our presence here,” said Greg Daniels, President of Bartlett Tree Experts. “Jordan Tree Care’s excellent reputation, knowledgeable staff and high standards of tree care will be valuable assets to us as we serve customers in the Raleigh area.”
Jordan Tree Care has been in business nearly three decades and provided services including tree removal, pruning, fertilization and plant health care.
The acquisition marks the third for Bartlett since December 2004. Expanding its Canadian presence, the company purchased Toronto, Ontario-based Bostock Tree Service in December, followed by Hartshorne Tree Service in Vancouver, British Columbia later that month.
