Bartlett Tree Experts has acquired the business operations of the Historic Tree Preservation Company with the intent to grow its business in the southeastern part of the country.
Historic Tree has served customers in Charleston, Hilton Head and Savannah, S.C., since 1994.
“This acquisition is helping us to meet our strategic goals for growth in this market,” said Steve Johnston, division manager for Bartlett. “Historic Tree Preservation has a good reputation in the community and has provided quality work, making them a natural fit for the Bartlett organization.”
Historic Tree’s two owners – Gren Winthrop and Chris Gerards – and their staff of 18 employees will remain with Bartlett Tree Experts. “Continuity of service from people who are already familiar with a property is an important benefit for our new clients,” Johnston noted.
