Bayer Environmental Science recently awarded four turf professionals $500 gift certificates – just for being born on the right day.
The Bayer contest kicked off the company’s celebration of the tenth anniversary of Merit insecticide. Entrants whose birthdays were closest to the date Merit received registration won the contest. The result was a four-way tie for the actual registration date, March 18.
Winners included: Jerry Sprague, Spragues Lawn Care Service, Inc., Ligonier, Ind.; Todd Hasler, KEI, Muskego, Wis.; Russ Schleicher, Spring Green Lawn Care, Wausau, Wis.; and James Bartley, Southern Lawns, Montgomery, Ala.
The lucky four said they planned to put the money toward a holiday party for their staff.
