Bayer Names Four New Sales Reps

A total of 10 sales representatives will cover the United States in their respective territories of the company’s new lawn and landscape region.

MONTVALE, N.J. – Bayer Environmental Science recently named four new sales representatives for the company’s newly formed lawn and landscape region. Part of the company’s customer focus initiative to refocus resources on the differing needs of green industry customers, the new region specifically serves lawn, landscape and grounds maintenance customers.

In addition to a regional manager and a national accounts manager, 10 sales representatives will cover the U.S. for the Lawn and Landscape Region. Five sales representatives were already in place, four representatives were recently named, and one representative will be named shortly.

The following positions were recently announced:

Joseph Robert (Robby) Clemenzi II will cover South Georgia, Coastal South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and North Florida focusing primarily on TopChoice, Ceasefire, Merit, Compass and Prograss products. Previously, Clemenzi was a customer interaction agent for Bayer and prior to that he served as a field sales representative for Aventis.

A native of the area, Clemenzi graduated with a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics from the University of Florida, Gainesville in 1999, and in 2001 with a master’s degree in agribusiness. Clemenzi also is a member of the National Agriculture Marketing Association.

Michael Owen will now be responsible for northern Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee, with a specific focus on TopChoice, ProStar, Compass, Revolver and Merit products. He joins the company from his former position as a sales manager with Syngenta Crop Protection’s Customer Resource Center in Greensboro, N.C. Owen graduated from the University of Georgia in 1993 with a degree in agricultural economics and brings with him 11 years of experience in the turf and ornamental markets.

Foster McWhorter will be responsible for the entire state of Texas, where he will be concentrating on TopChoice, Merit and ProStar products. He joins the company from Lameque Quality Group, where he served as a national accounts manager for several years. He also served as regional manager for Scotts Company.

McWhorter is a graduate of Texas A & M University, with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education. He remains a member of the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association.

David Crank will now cover the Mid-Atlantic territory, which includes New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C. Formerly manager of business intelligence with Bayer, Crank begins his new position with a broad background in agriculture and extensive experience with American Cyanamid and Novartis Crop Protection. He also worked for the former Bayer Agricultural Division in Kansas City, where he managed marketing research for crop, pest control and green markets.

A native of West Virginia, Crank graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture. He also received a master’s degree in agribusiness from Santa Clara University in 1991.

Mike Daly is the new regional sales manager for the lawn and landscape region.  Other representatives for the new region include:
