Montvale, N.J. – Bayer Environmental Science recently named Bryan Gooch as business manager over its insecticides business. His responsibilities include product and project management and business team leadership for many Bayer turf and ornamental insecticide products, including Chipco TopChoice, Chipco Choice, Ceasefire, DeltaGard, Tempo, Dylox and Sevin.
In addition, Gooch takes on the role of marketing lead for the green industry. In this position, he supports the recently announced customer focus initiative and the dedicated lawn and landscape region.
“Bryan brings solid experience in sales and marketing to his new position,“ said Jim Fetter, director of marketing for Chipco Professional Products. “His experience in southern markets gives him an excellent familiarity with the fire ant problem, which is a major opportunity for Chipco TopChoice.”
For the past year, Gooch has been program manager for Bayer, managing the Accolades and Greenback Rewards programs, as well as other channel partner programs for the turf and ornamental market.
Previously, he was a turf and ornamental field sales representative for Bayer Corp., covering six southeastern states from his home base in Charlotte, N.C. He also served as a termite and general pest field sales representative for Bayer, covering Alabama and northern Florida for two years.
A native of Lynchburg, Va., Gooch holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in turfgrass management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in Blacksburg, Va.
