KANSAS CITY - The professional care business unit of Bayer Corporation has changed its name from Bayer Garden & Professional Care to Bayer Corporation, Professional Care to better reflect the company's increased focus and commitment to the professional service provider. In addition, Bayer has added several new members to its team.
To build the turf and ornamental product line, including the addition of products such as the newly acquired Compass™ Fungicide, Michael Daly has joined Bayer as the turf and ornamental brand manager. Formerly with Novartis, Mike was involved in the development and launch of Compass, providing him knowledge of the product and its features.
Two new market managers have also joined the team. As commercial market manager, Cathy Fuhrman will handle all marketing responsibilities for pre-treat products and the commercial market. Jennifer Remsberg, residential market manager, is responsible for marketing all turf and ornamental and pest management products and programs.
Several individuals have also changed roles within the organization. Jeff Vannoy moved from his position as field sales representative to home health brand representative in the Kansas City office. He joins Home Health Market Manager Heather Flagg to support a new business model that has been introduced in Florida by Bayer in 2001.
Additionally, Steve Ehart moved from market manager to brand manager for all Bayer pest management products. In his new position, Steve is responsible for development of new pest management products and support of existing products, such as Premise®, Pre-Empt™ and Tempo® insecticides.
Reneé Holmes, communications manager, has been appointed Accolades program director, a position formerly held by Neil Cleveland. In the program director role, Reneé is responsible for continued development of the rewards program and member services. As communications manager, she is responsible for database development as well as communications and public relations for the Professional Care business unit.
In addition to the changes at Bayer Professional Care corporate offices, several changes have been made in the field, including redistribution of territories and the addition of three new sales representatives. Cleveland, former turf and ornamental brand manager, now serves as sales manager for the eastern area. Sales Manager Mike Ruizzo covers the western area, and Director of Sales Rich Burns has responsibility for Florida.
