AMES, Iowa - Becker Underwood, manufacturer of a variety of specialty colorants, has acquired Green Graphics’ Turf Colorant line of products. Green Graphics products have been sold and marketed in the lawn care, golf and sports turf and markets.
Manufacturing of Green Graphics products, which have been produced for more than 20 years, will be moved from Russellville, Ky., to Becker Underwood’s ISO 9001 facility in Ames, Iowa.
"I am excited that a progressive company like Becker Underwood will continue the brands and provide my customers with quality service," said Jim Wellborn, former owner of Green Graphics.
Becker Underwood has also completed numerous acquisitions in the last three years - Sequestrene and Sprint chelated iron products from Novartis, MicroBio Group Ltd., biopesticide technology and Tree Guard and Rejex-it repellents. These acquisitions have all been strategic additions of brands, technologies or products for the Becker Underwood end-users.

Founded in 1982, Becker Underwood manufactures and markets a variety of specialty colorants and bio-agronomic products for turf management, agriculture, seed treatment, wood recycling, aquaculture, vegetation management, forestry and structural pest control industries. The company’s turf and ornamental products include Sprintâ, Visorä, Turf Markâ, Mulch Magicâ and Green Lawngerâ.
