The Bergen County Housing Authority has renewed and expanded its contract with Borst Landscape and Design of Allendale for 2007 and 2008. An award-winning, full-service landscape firm, Borst now handles maintenance for five of the agency’s age-restricted apartment properties.
Borst’s relationship with the Housing Authority began in 2005, when the firm was awarded the assignment for Hasbrouck Heights Senior Housing, Boiling Springs in East Rutherford and Carucci Apartments in Lyndhurst. For the past two years, the firm has taken care of mowing, prunings, chemical applications and cleanups at these properties.
The new contract also adds the David F. Roche Apartments in Dumont and Teterboro Housing to Borst’s responsibilities. Additionally, the firm has been hired for several independent projects for the Housing Authority – including landscape renovations, hardscapes and plantings – at other properties.
“It has been a great experience working with the Housing Authority, and we look forward to continuing the relationship,” noted Mike Cioffi, Borst’s director of commercial maintenance. “This agency really cares about the appearance of its properties and how they are maintained inside and out.”
Borst’s growing Commercial Division also includes several ongoing Bergen County office property assignments with GVA Williams. Additionally, the firm has completed landscape design projects for Atlantic Stewardship Bank in Midland Park, Temple Emanuel in Woodcliff Lake, the Orchard Elementary School in Ridgewood and others.
