Brickman to Buy Bozzuto Landscaping

The Brickman Group signed an agreement to purchase Bozzuto Landscaping, currently a division of The Bozzuto Group. The sale is set to close Dec. 31.

Brickman and Bozzuto Landscaping have had a friendly rivalry for many years, and are closely aligned in their values, structure and operations. The two companies decided the best way to enjoy continued growth and serve a wider client base was to join forces.

“We’ve known and admired the folks at Bozzuto for many years, and have talked about the possibilities of a merger for some time,” says Scott Brickman, CEO. “The timing is now just right for both organizations to come together. With locations in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina, Bozzuto Landscaping’s 250 team members serve a diverse client base, including office and industrial parks, hospitals, schools, retail, apartment communities and privatized military communities. One of the top landscape contractors in the greater Washington/Baltimore metropolitan region, Tom Davis founded the landscaping company and sold it to the Bozzuto Group in 1989, where he has continued as President of Bozzuto Landscaping Company.

A privately held, family run business, Brickman serves over 10,000 commercial clients in 27 states, featuring award-winning maintenance, landscape architecture and construction services. With over 145 branch offices nationwide, Brickman shares resources, knowledge and best practices, ensuring clients experience consistent quality and service locally and nationally.

Tom Davis, together with his leadership team and staff, will join Brickman’s Mid-Atlantic team in continuing to operate the business under the Brickman Group. This transition has been designed so that day-to-day operations and client service will not be compromised in any way. The changeover to Brickman equipment colors, logos, and employee uniforms will take place for the 2008 season.
