It was Darrell Ramer’s first trip to GIE+EXPO, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to take the time to enter Briggs & Stratton Corporation’s Power Up! Giveaway. He had only one day to explore the entire show. But he did decide to enter…and he won.
“I was looking at the oil filters and air filters in the Briggs & Stratton booth when I was told about the contest,” he explained. “I wasn’t going to enter at first and then I did. Of course, I didn’t think I’d win…but I’m happy I did!”
Ramer won a truckload of Briggs & Stratton equipment, including a state-of-the-art stand-by generator for his home. The entire prize package included:
- 12kW IntelliGEN Home Generator System
(including up to $2500.00 for installation of the system) - 2550 MAX PSI Elite Series Pressure Washer
- 2000 Watt Elite Series Portable Generator
- 4 -gallon, 125 PSI, 2.2hp Air Compressor
- 5.5-horsepower, 2-inch Self-priming Water Pump
Ramer is a partner in Midwest Outdoor Power Equipment in Seymour, Mo. His name was randomly selected from nearly 1,000 registered GIE+EXPO attendees who completed a Briggs & Stratton Power Up Entry Card by visiting at least three of the company’s exhibit areas.
“It’s great,” he adds. “I don’t know what I’ll do with all of the equipment yet – it’s too soon to say.”
