Briggs & Stratton Corp. will hold its annual shareholders meeting Oct. 15 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland.
John Shiely, chairman and chief executive of the Wauwatosa, Wis.-based small engine and outdoor power equipment manufacturer, has been on the Hall of Fame and Museum’s corporate board since 2004.
Shiely is an avid collector of rock ’n’ roll memorabilia, including a suit worn by Paul McCartney and a harmonica used by Bruce Springsteen, and has played rhythm guitar in the Briggs Bluesbusters, a corporate band.
Briggs & Stratton usually changes the site of its shareholders meeting every year. Last year’s meeting was in Atlanta; in 2006, shareholders met in Washington, D.C.
