For the second year in a row, Janet Moyer Landscaping (JML), a full service landscaping company based in San Francisco, received an Achievement award in the small residential landscape category for a project completed in the city's Buena Vista neighborhood. The award was announced last month at the California Landscape Contractors Association's 2008 Trophy Awards presentation in Kona, Hawaii.
"As we continue to incorporate sustainability practices in the landscapes we design, install and maintain, we are gratified to receive this kind of recognition for our ability to create a beautiful landscape that enriches the lifestyle of our clients," says Janet Moyer, president of the company.
The overall goal of JML's assignment for its award-winning design was to transform a 23-foot grade back yard into a new outdoor living area for the homeowners' family to enjoy in the spring and summer months. The result was the transformation of an unsightly and unusable hillside into an attractive and inviting outdoor living space complete with terraces, stairways and accessibility to dramatic views of the city. The owners say that the new design and installation has made a substantial improvement to their quality of life as they are now able to enjoy and entertain in their home's outdoor environment.
