California Turf Companies Announce Growth Strategy

The new company, which is a distributor of Toro products, will operate statewide from its five existing California service locations (Hayward, Rancho Cordova, Brea, Vista and Bermuda Dunes).

To support that goal, we are presently building a state-of-the-art communication system and have already initiated a process for constant improvement in our customer service efforts by adopting new training and personnel objectives."

TURF STAR’s operations will cover the entire state of California and the peninsula of Baja California. The company’s customers include golf courses, sports complexes, municipal parks, schools and cemeteries. TURF STAR also is a distributor of a variety of gas and electric powered products for professional and residential use through more than 200 local dealers.

The company employs more than 125 employees at its five service offices. TURF STAR is the exclusive distributor of The Toro Company’s Golf Irrigation, Commercial Equipment, Landscape Contractor Equipment, Siteworks Systems and Consumer Products divisions in California and Baja California. It also is the exclusive statewide dealer for Club Car’s Carryall utility vehicle for golf courses and represents Cushman, Kawasaki, Ty-Crop, Express Dual, Foley, Verti Drain and other specialized lines of power equipment and irrigation products.
