This is the first call for pre-proposals for the 2007-08 AFE funding cycle for production and post-production scientific research. Pre-proposals are due June 1.
Priority areas are crop management protocols, pest management systems, post-harvest management and plant breeding and genetics. Additionally, the trustees are encouraging original research related to conservation of energy. The endowment gives special consideration to creative projects from non-tenured faculty and those involving graduate students.
Proposals for AFE sponsored marketing research have a different timeline. All forms and additional information are available on the Endowment Web site at www.endowment.org.
The American Floral Endowment is a not-for-profit corporation that raises and prudently invests funds to support production and market research and education programs to benefit the floriculture industry.
