This year, Case Construction Equipment celebrates 40 years of manufacturing skid steer loaders, a highly versatile type of construction equipment that has consistently grown in popularity since its inception. The company began producing skid steers under the Case name in 1969 after acquiring the Uni-Loader line from Universal Industries.
In addition to the 40th anniversary milestone, Case is on track to hit another significant milestone in 2009: It will make its 250,000th skid steer before the end of the year, said Jim Hughes, Case brand marketing manager.
