Cetane Associates has promoted Trey Brasseaux to vice president. Brasseaux joined the firm in 2023 and in his new role, he will lead Cetane’s financial team.

Brasseaux has more than eight years of client advisory experience in financial roles with professional services firms. Prior to joining Cetane, he served as an associate at J Wolf and Company, an investment bank focused on raising capital for acquisitions in the lower middle market. He also spent five years at Opportune LLP, providing finance and accounting advisory services to private and public energy clients across multiple sectors.
Brasseaux holds bachelor's degrees in business honors and finance and a master of financial management from Texas A&M University. He also holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.
“Trey has already made a meaningful impact with both colleagues and clients," says Barrett Conway, managing director and principal of Cetane. "His expertise, attention to detail, and client-focused approach have been instrumental in supporting our continued growth. He is an outstanding asset to our expanding team.”
“We are thrilled to see Trey step into this new leadership role at Cetane. Since joining our team, he has brought a high level of professionalism and skill," says Tamera Kovacs, director of Cetane. "Trey’s strong financial background, excellent communication skills, and collaborative nature make him an ideal leader for our financial team.”
