FMI Services Group, Charleston, S.C., has acquired Bass Custom Landscapes, a $4 million/year maintenance and installation landscaping business in Bonaire, Ga.
Founded in 1987 by entrepreneur Tony Bass, Bass Custom Landscapes provides maintenance, installation, irrigation, enhancements, fertilization, grading and hardscapes to high-end homes and businesses in central Georgia. BCL employs over 70 full-time technicians and has more than 400 clients in central Georgia.
“The acquisition of Bass not only gives us a leading position in the central Georgia market, it facilitates FMI’s expansion throughout the rest of the state,” says FMI president Don Pottieger, Jr.
Pottieger said that the management team at Bass will remain intact.
“The Bass group of professionals clearly has the expertise to take FMI to the next level of service excellence.”
