It began January 1978 when Grant & Power Landscaping entered the arena of small residential landscape maintenance companies. Today Grant & Power celebrates its evolution into a world class design/build landscaping firm. For the past thirty years, Grant & Power has been providing professional services and exceptional quality products resulting in landscapes that not only increase property value, but provide a personally designed living environment.

“From our humble beginning serving small residential clients with only a two man crew, until today, thousands of clients and over one hundred employees later, Grant & Power Landscaping is serving the Chicagoland area by setting the standards for the way landscaping is sold, designed, installed and maintained,” said Jan-Gerrit Bouwman, senior landscape architect/partner of Grant & Power Landscaping.

Gene R. Grant Jr., CEO of Grant & Power is a registered landscape architect and has been involved with American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) and Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA).  The staff members of Grant & Power Landscaping are educated in landscape architecture, ornamental horticulture, and turfgrass sciences and are members of  many organizations including but not limited to: ASLA, PLANET, ILCA, SIMA (Snow and Ice Management Association) and APLD (Association  of Professional Landscape Designers).

Grant & Power Landscaping was recognized by ILCA and its Excellence in Landscape Award Program with a Gold Award in 2006 and Silver Award in 2007. The award program recognizes and promotes the skills and expertise of landscape professionals.

Grant & Power Landscaping sponsors Operation Support Our Troops - Illinois (OSOTIL), which is run by volunteers that pack and ship boxes filled with donated items to American Troops serving around the world.

The comany also is a member of Project Evergreen and Greencare for Troops. It is a program that helps connect the families of service men and women that are deployed overseas with landscape companies in the area. Grant & Power Landscaping maintains the landscaping at the homes of some of these families. They are glad to help so that there is one less thing for these families to worry about while their loved one is serving our country.
