PITTSBURGH - Plantscape’s Christmas decorating seminars, staged annually over the past 10 years, will now be held every two years.
The first “Christmas Decorating Bienniale” will be held in June 2002, announced Carole Horowitz, company president, and no seminars will be held this year.
“The seminars take a tremendous amount of preparation, planning and staff time - we’re ready for a break,” Horowitz said. “We also want to develop a totally new format for the seminars.”
Horowitz reported that interest in the seminars is at an all-time high, and the company’s wholesale Christmas products line and new catalog is being expanded this year to meet demand.
The idea for changing the annual seminar to a biennial event came from Venice’s famous art and architecture biennial, which Horowitz attended last October.
