The City of Calgary will be using a committee to evaluate a new report on the use of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and fungicide and may put restrictions of the use of the chemicals.
The Parks and Roads Department has already cut down on their use of pesticides, ultimately, waiting on a decision from council.
A representative with The Coalition for a Healthy Calgary representative is against pesticide use. He tells the Calgary Herald there are always going to be that part of the population who are going to be uptight about dandelions.
A local landscaper says 50,000 Calgarians use professionals to keep their lawns looking in tip-top shape.
