A coalition of business, government and environmental groups is holding a conference in San Antonio, Texas, March 14-17, to help develop a strategy for educating consumers about the proper use of pesticides and fertilizers – including how to conserve water and protect wildlife while maintaining a healthy and attractive home landscape.
Conference participants will have opportunities to voice opinions on draft guidelines designed to educate and motivate consumers to adopt the practices.
The San Antonio conference, “Environmental Lawn Care and Landscaping: Reaching the Consumer” is being organized by the “Lawns & Environment” coalition. The conference is open to individuals and organizations active in landscaping and lawn care activities.
