Coast publishes Fleet Spend Report

Coast recently released its Fleet Spend Report, which includes data aimed at helping landscape fleets best manage their fuel spend and efficiency.

Key findings for landscaping fleets include:

• Average fuel spend for landscaping fleets is $452/vehicle/month — second highest across all trade industries we tracked, behind only construction
  
• July is peak month, consistent with the industry’s busy season
  
• The efficiency gap within landscaping is the widest we found: top 25% of fleets use 172.7 gallons/vehicle, while the bottom 25% use 959.5 — a 456% difference
  
• Landscaping fleets with 30–99 vehicles show 64% lower median spend per vehicle than those with 1–4 vehicles — the largest fleet size gap of any industry we analyzed
