Compass System Launches New Program ‘Driven By Results’

Seminar focuses on increasing efficiency to improve profits.

CHESAPEAKE CITY, Md. – Compass System has announced the launching of its latest training program titled “Driven By Results.” The sessions will be held in cities across the United States, and aim to provide lawn and landscape contractors the opportunity to learn how firms in the green industry are increasing their efficiency and improving their net profits.

Compass Systems’ Rob Shauger says the firm held its first "Driven By Results" session early this month and is looking forward to hosting future events. “The first program went really well and I think the attendees were really in awe of all the information we discussed,” Shauger says. “These sessions differ from our Academy training in that it’s an open forum for companies to come and really get down to the nitty-gritty of the issues affecting their businesses.”

 

Shauger explains that upon signing up for a "Driven By Results" program, company owners and other managers attending will be provided with a list of topics to review to get an idea of what the session will cover. Beyond that, attendees can suggest topics that aren’t on the list but that they would like to bring up in the forum. “If there’s something they want to talk about and they don’t see it on our list, we’ll add it and customize the outline of the session based on the information returned from companies attending,” he says. “The Academy training offers a more prescribed outline of topics that we have to move through in a fixed amount of time, so this opportunity really opens up the floor to issues that business owners really want to know about.”

 

Each “Driven By Results” program is expected to include 10 to 20 business owners or top managers from attending companies. Shauger encouraged business owners to take these types of opportunities to better their businesses. “A lot of times we’ll see a slow-down during the spring because everyone’s busy, but it’s important for these business owners to remember that there’s no ‘off season,’ in this industry and any time is a good time to build your company.”
