The Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (CTASLA) announced the winners of its annual Connecticut Design Awards competition. CTASLA conducts the Connecticut Design Awards each year to recognize excellence in Landscape Architectural Design, Planning and Analysis, Communication and Research. To be eligible, an applicant must be a licensed Landscape Architect in the State of Connecticut, and the entrant or project location must be based in Connecticut.
The award winners are part of an exhibit in the Legislative Office Building (running until April 14) in recognition of National Landscape Architecture Month, selected as April by ASLA because it encompasses Earth Day (April 22) and the birthday of Frederick Law Olmsted (April 26), the founder of the American landscape architecture profession. The exhibit, featuring more than 30 display boards, can been seen in the concourse between the LOB and the State Capitol.
