Connors Joins ANLA Government Relations Program

Connors will oversee the association's initiatives involving labor and immigration reform, the Farm Bill, environmental, tax and small business issues.

Corey J. Connors has joined the government relations and research staff team of the American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA) as director of legislative relations. In this capacity, Connors will oversee ANLA’s legislative advocacy program, including initiatives involving labor and immigration reform, the Farm Bill, environmental, tax and small business issues. He will also manage the activities of the ANLA-Political Action Committee.

Connors most recently served on the government affairs staff at PPG Industries, a U.S.-based coatings, glass and fine chemicals manufacturing company. There he was responsible for supporting advocacy efforts on the issues of labor and legal reform. Prior to that, he was government relations manager with the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, where his responsibilities included H-2B and immigration reform, state association relations, and management of the organization’s political action committee. He also served on the personal staff of U.S. Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.).

Corey received a Bachelor's degree in political science from Clarion University, and a Master's degree in political management from the George Washington University. His wife Kristi, and their daughter Paige are relocating to the Washington area from Pittsburgh.
