Contech Construction Products has named John Gilbert to the position of vice president, sourcing & logistics. This new position was created to provide added focus and strategic direction to this critical component of the company's operation.

Gilbert formerly served as director of corporate engineering and research & development for Cintas Corp. in Mason, Ohio, where he also earned status as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Prior to joining Cintas, John spent 12 years with Procter & Gamble in engineering and supply chain management positions in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Quincy, Mass.
John holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). While attending MIT, he completed internships with Hughes Aircraft Co.'s Radar Systems and Space & Communications Groups. He also completed extensive training in manufacturing and total quality management at the University of Tennessee's Institute for Productivity through Quality.
