Converted Organics announced that Edward J. Gildea, president and CEO, accepted an invitation to participate in the Governors’ Global Climate Summit, Finding Solutions Through Regional & Global Action, on Nov. 18-19. The conference, hosted by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, is being held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Governor Schwarzenegger announced that he, along with Governors across the United States and officials from around the world, would come together in an effort to create a framework for United Nations’ (U.N.) negotiators to use when they meet in Poland this December to begin work on a new global climate change agreement.
This Global Climate Summit will bring key leaders to the drawing broad to discuss new and creative ideas to combat climate change and create an alliance of states, provinces and regional governments to implement those solutions. The new global agreement emerging from the U.N. talks, culminating with a meeting to be held in Copenhagen in December, 2009, will be stronger and more sustainable due to the work of the dedicated leaders participating in the Governors’ Global Climate Summit.
Converted Organics has also accepted an invitation to participate in the Climate Change Showcase, which is being organized by the non-profit initiative Green Technology as part of the historic Governors’ Global Climate Summit. Converted Organics will feature its high-quality organic fertilizers as part of this diverse exhibition of products and services that can assist in efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
