Laurie Treu, vice president of specialty products for Crompton/Uniroyal Chemical, has been recognized with CropLife America’s Workhorse award.
“Laurie’s dedication and commitment to RISE as chairman, committee member and volunteer has helped shaped RISE into the association it is today,” noted Allen James, RISE president, “She also presents the specialty pesticide industry on CropLife America committees and task forces and is very deserving of the workhorse award,” he added.
Treu earned the award for her efforts with both RISE and CLA, demonstrating exceptional, long-time service and commitment to the plant science industry. She has served on the RISE Governing Board for seven years and just completed a two-year term as chairman. She also is a past chairman and has been a member of the RISE communications committee for more than 10 years. She has served as chair of the RISE Strategic Oversight Council as well.
