Developer Granite Properties said Jan. 29 that 17Seventeen McKinney — an officer tower it's building on McKinney Avenue in Uptown Dallas — will be the first gold LEED high-rise office building in the Dallas area.
The 19-story building recently received pre-certification at the gold level of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, which is the industry’s green building standard. Typically, LEED ratings aren’t given until buildings are completed. Construction of the 17Seventeen McKinney tower is expected to be finished in spring 2010.
