The Davey Tree Expert Company has added a Boulder, Colo., company to its long list of recent acquisitions.

Enchanted Land and Tree Company will be merged with Davey’s current Boulder operations, and the entire operation will be supervised by Boulder District Manager Brian O’Niel. The purchase marks Davey’s second Colorado acquisition in two years, and is in line with the company’s long-term growth strategy, says Richard Foote, Davey’s operations manager in charge of acquisitions and expansion.
“Whenever we consider an acquisition, our primary objective is always to find a company that fits Davey’s ideals and goals,” Foote says. “Enchanted fits in perfectly.” Foote said the transition should be seamless and said Davey’s Boulder office will handle former Enchanted clients.
Dustin Brown, former owner of Enchanted, says Davey Tree’s reputation is what attracted him to the company. “I appreciated Davey Tree’s professionalism, longevity and their concern for their customers,” he says.
The Davey Tree Expert Company, based in Kent, ohio, provides tree, shrub and lawn care, large tree moving, grounds management, vegetation management and consulting services throughout North America. Founded in 1880, Davey has more than 6,000 employees.
