The Davey Tree Expert Company has promoted Phil Snyder to vice president of health and safety.
“Phil’s impressive series of career accomplishments and a deep understanding of Davey uniquely suits him for this role,” said Greg Ina, executive vice president of the Davey Institute and Employee Development. “We are looking forward to watching Phil’s continued success in supporting company operations and crew members.”
Snyder joined Davey in 2008 through The Care of Trees (TCOT) acquisition. Prior to joining TCOT, Snyder had 11 years of experience in utility line services. Most recently, he was the vice president of East Atlantic operations for Davey’s Residential/Commercial (R/C) services division.
Snyder is a past member of the Davey President’s Council, a rotating team of managers who meet semiannually for management development and to share ideas to improve the company. He earned a bachelor’s degree in forest management from the University of Vermont and is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist, New Jersey Licensed Tree Expert and Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP).
