The Davey Tree Expert Company has promoted Gary Schermerhorn to market manager, Mid-Atlantic operations, Residential/Commercial (R/C) services.
“To this day, Gary remains a hands-on manager, jumping in to help crews when projects run long or help meet clients’ deadlines, which shows his character as a dependable leader,” said Phil Snyder, vice president, East Atlantic operations, R/C services. “I can’t wait to see him leverage these skills and natural inclination to help others in his new position.”
Schermerhorn joined Davey in 1991 as a sales and service technician for the Albany office. In 1999, he was promoted to sales and service coordinator, then in 2002 to district manager of the same office. In 2016, he transferred to the King of Prussia office.
Schermerhorn is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist, a Tree Care Industry Association Certified Treecare Safety Professional, is Tree Risk Assessment Qualified and holds a Commercial Pesticide Applicator certification. He graduated from the Davey Institute of Lawn Sciences in 1999.
