MOLINE, Ill. – Deere & Company announced Wednesday., Mar. 1 that the company has acquired Sunbelt Outdoor Products – a regional distributor of parts for all makes of outdoor power equipment.
Sunbelt is based in Charlotte, N.C., and currently distributes parts in the southeast U.S. However, Deere said its future plans are to expand Sunbelt’s operation to serve outdoor power equipment dealers throughout the entire U.S.
Deere said the acquisition enhances the company’s growth in its commercial and consumer equipment division by providing an all-makes parts distributor to John Deere dealers as well as continuing Sunbelt’s business with non-Deere outdoor power equipment dealers.
Deere & Company produces equipment for agriculture, lawn and turf care, construction and forestry. Additionally, Deere provides credit, special technology and managed health care products.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
