The new video on John Deere Construction & Forestry’s www.skidsteersmackdown.com offers a humorous take on classic, high-brow television but still delivers the unbridled “smack” that powered Season One of the customer Web site.
The video, which can be seen at www.skidsteersmackdown.com by clicking on “The Battles,” recaps the head-to-head contests between John Deere and competitor skid steers and compact track loaders that are part of the company’s integrated promotional campaign for equipment users, launched last April. It also offers a look ahead at the eagerly anticipated Season Two.
“The Ultimate Skid Steer Smackdown” was filmed before a live audience, and the first-of-its-kind web site not only features the compelling machine vs. machine challenges, but also a discussion forum, buying information, video sharing capability and a “Prove It” section that looks at the key specs and parameters driving the contests.
“ ‘Prove It’ will be the theme of Season Two of The Ultimate Skid Steer Smackdown,” said Sam Norwood, manager, John Deere Commercial Worksite Products. “I don’t want to give much away, but you’ll be seeing more machines, more operators and more real-world challenges. And more surprises – you’ll just have to log on and watch.”
John Deere Construction & Forestry produces more than 120 machine models and distributes its construction, forestry and worksite products. For more information, visit www.johndeere.com.
