The Connecticut Nursery & Landscape Association board voted to define the lines between landscape contractor and arborist tasks.
CNLA President Paul Larson will appoint at least two CNLA members to a new task force along with members of the Connecticut Tree Protective Association that will try to develop specific language spelling out how far a landscape contractor can go in tree work without needing to get an arborist license.
CNLA is currently asking all members to send in their opinions and comments on what extent of tree work a landscape contractor should be able to do without an arborist license. To share your thoughts, send your ideas to connnrsry@aol.com or call 203/261-5429.
