Be sure to be on hand as Three Dog Night takes the stage at 8 p.m., presented by Briggs & Stratton.
From 1969-1974, nobody had more Top-10 hits, moved more records or sold more concert tickets than Three Dog Night. During this period Three Dog Night was the most popular band in America with 21 consecutive Top-40 hits and 12 straight gold LPs. By late 1975, they had sold nearly 50 million records.
Hits include classics such as “Joy to The World,” “Mama Told Me (Not To Come),” “Black And White,” “Shambala” and “Easy To Be Hard.”
The Briggs Bluesbusters will open the concert at 6:30 p.m. This Briggs & Stratton house band has 11 members (eight are company employees) including John Shiely, chairman, president and CEO, as rhythm guitarist. The Bluesbusters have opened for top bands including The Beach Boys; Ray Charles; Blood, Sweat & Tears and James Brown. They have also competed in Fortune Magazine’s Corporate Battle of the Bands at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The band plays covers by soul and blues-based rock artists as well as the company anthem “Briggs & Stratton Man.”

Diamond Rio will headline the Friday night concert starting at 8 p.m., presented by Ariens.
Diamond Rio has created a remarkable track record of awards, chart-topping hits and critical acclaim, along the way selling more than 10 million albums, with each release certified Gold or Platinum. With nine No. 1 hits, 15 Top-5 singles and 13 Grammy nominations, these 1998 Grand Ole Opry inductees have consistently demonstrated the level of musicianship and amazing talent that made them the CMA’s most awarded and nominated group throughout the 1990s, while continuing to break new ground, setting a career-high debut and launching back-to-back, multi-week No. 1 hits with their most recent album, “Completely.”
GIE+EXPO show director Warren Sellers is thrilled about the concerts. “With such high-caliber entertainment on the lineup, both of these concerts are expected to add a lot of energy to this year’s show," he says. "We’re pleased to have Briggs & Stratton and Ariens Company as the concert sponsors. This type of exhibitor support for GIE+EXPO and the industry makes events of this magnitude possible.”
