Dixie Chopper is expanding its facilities.
The manufacturer of lawn mowers is building a new 16,000 sq. ft. assembly facility at its manufacturing complex in Coatsville, Ind.
The company's new building will be open for business by September, explained Art Evans, president and founder. This is the fourth expansion of capacity for Dixie Chopper within the last nine years. Other facilities are in the planning stages as well.
The manufacturer's campus still includes the barn where, in 1980, Evans built the first mid-mount, zero-turn-radius riding lawn mower specifically for the turf care professional. But now, parent company Magic Circle Corporation is producing Dixie Chopper mowers in six different buildings with state-of-the-art production equipment and more than 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and warehouse space.
