Dow AgroSciences Sells Oryzalin Herbicide Business

United Phosphorus Ltd., Mumbai, India, has purchased Dow AgroSciences' oryzalin herbicide business, including Surflan herbicide and all Surflan-based pre-mixes. Dow AgroSciences will continue to sell oryzalin in Switzerland and the European Union.

UPL will begin selling Surflan immediately within its territories.

"While we will continue to explore all market opportunities, except in those countries excluded under this acquisition, we are most excited about the impact Surflan and related products will have to our growing market presence, especially in the United States and Australia," says Jai Shroff, CEO of UPL.
