Dow Guarantees MACH 2 Results

Dow AgroSciences has announced that the specialty insecticide is up to 10-percent less expensive than other grub control brands and has introduced a performance guarantee for the product.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Dow AgroSciences has announced that MACH 2 specialty insecticide is up to 10-percent less expensive per acre than other grub control brands and has also introduced a new product performance guarantee.

Applicators who use MACH 2 will see the price difference when buying it from their suppliers. As for the guarantee, end users may qualify for payment if:

  • MACH 2 was applied at the rate of 2 pounds active ingredient per acre
  • MACH 2 was used according to label directions
  • Insect species on the label were not controlled, resulting in damage to more than 10 percent of the total treated turfgrass area

    • Non-performance issues must be reported to a Dow AgroSciences representative no later than Oct. 31, 2004, and verified by customer service reports; documentation of rainfall and irrigation following application of MACH 2 product must be provided. Payment is limited to the cost of the MACH 2 component of the formulation used.

    “The performance of all formulations, including liquid (2SC), granular (1.5G) and the on-fertilizer varieties (0.57, 0.86, 1.00 and 1.33), is guaranteed,” says Chris Wooley, product marketing manager.
