Earth & Turf Expo 2002 Cancelled

 ATLANTA – CommercialTurf.com announced Tuesday its cancellation of the inaugural Earth & Turf Expo 2002, planned for March 22-24 in Atlanta, Ga.

The decision to call off the event was based on exhibitor cancellations and general economic slowdown following the events of Sept. 11, 2001, according to a release from CommercialTurf.com. “All efforts have been made to launch and successfully complete this event, however, CommercialTurf.com has been left with no other choice but to cancel this event,” the release stated. “All efforts were made to continue right down to the last minute, however, we are not able to overcome this issue.”

The event was scheduled to feature products and services from more than 400 sponsors and exhibitors, as well as more than 50 educational seminars, according to the CommercialTurf.com Web site.
