Kwik Products Inc. (KPI), an Arizona based manufacturer and distributor of easy load trimmer heads and trimmer line, has been acquired by ECHO Incorporated (ECHO) of Lake Zurich, IL.
“This transaction is a good opportunity for both parties,” says Dan Obringer, President of ECHO. “For ECHO, this is a perfect fit from a vertical integration standpoint, as Kwik is a major source of our line and heads. KPI will benefit from ECHO’s financial resources and access to lawn and garden markets. This is definitely a win-win situation.”
KPI will continue to operate out of Phoenix, AZ as an independent company, led by current president, Fernando Iacona. The company has served the outdoor power equipment industry with innovative trimmer heads and line for 12 years.
“We will continue to serve all our customers as we have in the past, providing innovative, high quality products and excellent customer service,” says Iacona. “It’s business as usual for us but we are very excited about the future opportunities this transaction offers to grow our business.”
