The Empire State Green Industry Show, which is hosted by the New York State Turfgrass Association, New York State Nursery/Landscape Association, New York State Arborists - ISA Chapter and New York Flower Industries, will be held at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center on Nov. 13-15. The 2006 show attracted 1,807 attendees and 231 exhibitor booths.
The Empire State Green Industry Show features accredited education sessions for all green industry professionals and the largest green industry trade show in New York. Show hours have been revised this year. The opening reception of the trade show will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All exhibitors and attendees are welcome and refreshments will be served. On Wednesday, the trade show will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Industry-related demonstrations will take place on the show floor.
Education sessions will begin on Tuesday at 8 a.m. and end on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Experts representing a variety of fields including turf, arboriculture, nursery/landscape, floriculture, and integrated pest management have been invited to speak. Research and legislative updates will also be presented. A wide variety of recertification credits will be available including NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Sports Turf Managers Association and International Society of Arborists certified education units, Certified Nursery/Landscape Professional credits, and pesticide recertification credits for many neighboring states.
The Empire State Green Industry Show has been endorsed by the New York State Recreation and Park Society, New York Golf Course Owners Association, New York State Association of Cemeteries, Sports Turf Managers of New York, Nassau Suffolk Landscape Gardeners Association, Cornell Cooperative Extension, New York State Association for Superintendents of School Buildings and Grounds, SUNY Delhi and SUNY Cobleskill.
