BEATRICE, Neb. – Encore Manufacturing Co. appointed Doug Tegtmeier as president, effective Jan. 1. Tegtmeier joined Encore’s sales staff in 1994, after leaving a career in professional baseball. Since then, he has moved up in the company ranks, serving as national sales manager and director of its distributor and dealer network.
Working with Tegtmeier will be Bob Reed, who was promoted to general manager, after working as Encore’s comptroller since 2002. He is a certified public accountant with experience managing manufacturing facilities.
Company founder, Dick Tegtmeier, will remain chairman of the board and oversee engineering projects, export sales and contract manufacturing. “I’m very pleased to make these announcements,” Dick said. “There is now a great team in place that has proven they are capable of taking over leadership and making the management decisions for Encore to move forward. We’re looking toward a good period of product and distribution development and sales growth.”
